Roy Griak Invitational

Well, the Griak didn't exactly go as well as planned for anyone on the team. Out of the 60 teams in the maroon race we ended up 18th. The conditions were great for racing but the course wasn't exactly running fast due to the heavy amount of rain we got the day before. I finished in about 190th overall in 28:25. Coming in my goal was to make the top 100. I would have had to run about 27:35. To give you an idea of how muddy the course was at some points I attatched a picture of the boys high school race.

Although I was not exactly pleased with my results from the week, I feel I had a fairly good week of training. I was about 70 miles for the week with 2 doubles and a "long" run of 12 miles on Sunday. I think I am going to cut back to about 60 for this week just to play it safe and remain there for the remainder of the season.

Comments:
That course looks nasty. I've run it before when it was muddy, but I don't think it was ever that bad.

Old times...good times.
