3/19-3/25 - Real track is here

I felt good this week with the exception of Saturday's 15 mile run. Tuesdays build up was real good, I clocked the last mile at about 5:25. Thursday was real easy and Friday's workout went well. About an hour in, someone said '6:10', I didn't realize they were talking about a mile split until about 10 minutes later when I clocked one of my own. I think this is too fast for a long run for me right now. Not only did I find this out at the end of Saturdays run but it has carried into early this week.

We did a workout on Monday but I didn't have the opportunity to get the workout in until 8 p.m. I felt like shit and I coulnd't control the pacing so I ended it early and basically took the day off. I took another easy day yesterday. More on this next week...

Tomorrow we leave for Truman in Kirksville, MO. It will be my debut for the 5k this year. I hope to run an evenly paced race and under 15:50.

Mon. 70 mins - 10 miles
Tues. a.m. 25 mins - 3 miles
p.m. 62 mins build up 68 mins total - 10.5 miles
Weds. 66 mins - 9.5 miles
Thurs. 50 mins - 7 miles
Fri. 26 minute build up onto the track, last four laps were 85, 84, 84, 81. 200m walk, 600m jog, 4x400m with 60 second rest, 71, 70, 70, 70. 20 minute jog - 8 miles
Sat. 1 hr 45 mins - 15 miles
Sun. 60 mins - 8.5 miles

71.5 miles
